YouthBuild Austin is a pre-apprenticeship program that combines education with on-the-job career training in one of four occupational tracks--construction, information technology, healthcare, and manufacturing. Participants who need to complete their high school diploma or equivalency concurrently enroll in certification classes. Eligible participants are ages 16 to 24, have an income below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines, and are disconnected from other training and education opportunities.
